Satnav

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have just brought myself a Skoda Superb 2.0 Diesel estate SE 2010 (which I think is Brill)

Can someone tell me how to upload photos to a topic because it will be easier to explain with photos here to help.

Basically My satnav is telling me it can't find the software, but I don't know what make my satnav is. I have a Bolero book, but it looks nothing like a Bolero, it has two MicroSD slots 1 for the maps and the other for photos ect in the middle of the slots is a micro usb port.

just to be going on with......

regards Frank

Click the button that says "More Reply Options" - there's an option in there to allow upload of pictures to attach to a post.

Is the nav unit a Skoda one or aftermarket?

That sounds very much like a Chinese aftermarket unit.

As a lot of these look so similar, it might be easiest to take it out to read the label on it to see who makes it and start from there.

If there's 2 micro sd card slots then (as said) it's a chinese aftermarket unit. One of the sd card slots should have a nav card in it which sounds like it's missing as there's no data for the unit to read.

Don't know wether to say thank you or cry.....seriously thanks to both for replying so quickly

The good news is that for the price of an SD card you should be able to get up to date maps on this unit, which you can update with new maps by rewriting the data to the SD card. Better than the £100 ish the dealers charge for the navigation DVD for the Columbus units anyway. As far as I know the SE spec didn't come with the Columbus by default anyway, you had to get Elegance spec for that.
