Best MPG on a trip so far

Featured Replies

I just got back from a 1200 mile round trip with mainly motorway driving and cornwall country roads, average MPG was 55mpg which I thought was good.

Best MPG so far on a short trip is 70,4 mpg

I recently got 70.2mpg on a 100 mile journey in my A3, pretty good.

Well done on the 70.4!

I did 74 miles at 67.4mpg. Halifax to Filey the other week. 3 of us with the car full to the brim with camping gear. I was amazed!!!

In our last Superb mk2 1.9 PD TDI we got 76mpg on the Maxidot (72mpg calculated), after a Liverpool to Brighton run. Our new Superb did 45mpg on the motorway once, and I wouldn't swap it for the world. :D

I find that maxidot isn't always accurate so I use a app from the Android store that i think did a great job.

I used the free version for a year without any issue and then bought the full app which I found to be of little benefit. So just use the free one.

It's called Fuel Log. Each time you fill up, record the current mileage and the litres used to fill it. It automatically gives you your mpg but also much more info, like weekly monthly and yearly costs for everything as you input each expense as it occurs.

Here is a pic of the app

That assumes you have a phone that runs apps, mine has just got rid of the cable from the phone to the socket on mine.

That's fair enough. Can't argue with that! But you are using a computer so maybe there are similar desktop applications on the computer or maybe not. Just sharing info I found useful
