What is this under the passenger seat?

Featured Replies

It looks like a radiator with black fins, I didn't even know it was under the seat behind a carpeted flap!

Factory amp for the sound system.

Ah ha so I do have one then eventhough I don't have the Audience stereo. I had the basic Stream no mp3 but I did have an upgraded "Sound System" with 12 speakers, sweet. Thanks Rusty!

By the way all seems good with the Columbus so far from that guy in Bradford near Leeds, £260 delivered and it's a June 2015 unit. I got a new Canbus Gateway for £25 and I'm in talks with someone on here for a 7P6 module and harness to install Bluetooth, happy days.

Thanks for all your help and apologies for not giving you my business but I think I've done ok and saved quite a bit, cheers.

No problem.

Does that mean you can swap the oem one for a better one and retain current setup?

That will also probably explain why the sound didn't work when you temporarily fitted the Columbus. When we code it we can set it to interact with that.

It's good to know a man in the know lol!

It is indeed the amp.

I'm stunned, as I remember at the time to buy the upgraded speakers you were told it had to have an audience.

Well in that case enjoy :)

Yes you did but I don't recall looking properly that's what went wrong here lol.

Ah well, found it in the end.

Ditto, but at least you found it.
