My MY16 162TSI is fully optioned out with all the option packs you can get.

 

It has Kessy keys (dongles) and both front seats are electric. The manual that comes with the car says that it can save the driver seat position to the keys, but neither myself nor the dealer can get it to work.

I have noticed that the option: "safe seat settings to key" is not available in the infotainment.

It appears we in Australia seem to be missing out for some reason.

Can't imagine why that would have been taken off. Might have been moved to a different menu area perhaps?

I got the reply from the dealer:

After an extensive phone call to Skoda Australia, I am informed that the MY16 does not come with "Personilsation".

But they will bring this in with the MY17 model........Really????

So despite that this has been in use overseas for while now and that I optioned the highest specs for the TSI162.

We also don't get the SIM card slot in Columbus, no ice scraper (you would want it if you were living in the Blue Mountains), no TV tuner........

Looks like Aussies are getting screwed over again.

I am still happy with the car. This is more related to that Aussies seem to be always limited in what they can get.

I do understand your frustration... but before we say we are getting screwed here have you optioned up a UK/Euro model Skoda to the same spec that we have here?  Its mind boggling how much more expensive it is.  While we have 3 option packs that get us (almost) everything, every little thing seems to be an option there... Occupant protection - extra.  Rear side airbags - extra.  Boot netting - extra.  Ambient lighting - extra.. the list goes on.  I out of interest specced a 206tsi model to the same specs as the one I have on order here and it came out at around $80,000 Aud where I paid $63k.  Admittedly that was before the Brexit where the pound took a hammering... maybe its closer now...

 

However, that all said, I still wish we were offered *everything* as an option at least.  Let me choose if I want to spend the extra on a sim card or ice scraper instead of deciding for me...

I can confirm this works on the 206. Make sure you enable the menu feature. CAR (button) -> Setup (gear icon) -> Seats -> Store seat position Vehicle key activated (tick this). The vehicle should not only store your seat positions but should also remember side mirror positions and even mood lighting preference, eg my key is green while my wife is blue :-)  

 

Adjust the seat/mirror/light settings to your preference, exit the vehicle and lock it with your key (which should then save the settings).

Is yours a MY16?????

Our keys are just black with silver surround and a plain black one.

I just checked the comparison table and with the Tech and Image Pack added, mine is suppose to have the exact same spec including:

Advanced keyless entry incl. smart start (KESSY) & Alarm

Forgot..ours doesn't have the function:

Yep mine is MY16 as well, curious as to why the option does not come up on yours, maybe a system update is required?
