Has anybody else tried the new new BP Ultimate Fuels, I usually run on Shell optimax, but today I tried BP and WOW!! Thay say it's 98 ROM but I recon they forgot to put the 1 in front.

Down in Sussex it's 81.9p per Litre thats 6p more that standard but it's worth it!

I've just been on the Ultimate website and it says that it has a 'research octane level of 97RON'. So, still no good for me and my 98RON APR program :(

I usually run on Shells 98RON Optimax but there is a noticable difference in BP. I don't know it may be just me but WOW!! try it.

And no I don't work for BP.

I hope its better than the "Super" Unleaded cr@p i got from a BP Station on the M6 on saturday.

I can't wait to empty the tank and get some Optimax in.

I though Optimax was 97 RON ??

Didn't it get downgraded a point a couple of years ago :(

Shell still quote 98+

From Shell UK website:

'Shell Optimax has the highest octane specification of any petrol in the UK. It is greater than 98 Research Octane Number (RON).'

I stand corrected!

I personally dont really notice a lot of difference between normal and super - do you guys actually feel the difference?

PS Saying that I always use super when i can get it: Just cos I dont notice it doesnt mean that other traffic I come across doesn't
