Tuning advise for vrs petrol

Featured Replies

Hi guys 1st time on the forum so a big hello from me. I'm currently driving a mk3 vrs diesel octavia which I have on pch and goes back soon, so I'm looking to buy a mk2 and wanted some advise on tuning maps, apart from the exhaust, air filter which will be done I'm unsure on the rest. I've been looking at revo and there stage 3 ko4 turbo upgrade and was wondering if anyone has done this mod, plus would I need to up rate the injectors and fuel pump plus air cooler etc, I'm looking forward to any advise. Cheers Phil.

Hi there, I have a REVO stage 1 map on my TFSI- I can't fault it all. However, I would recommend from my understanding and reading other peoples opinions on the matter to have a look at R-Tech Performance in Leicestershire....Nikki Gower really knows his stuff.

remap, cat back stainless system, different filter, better plugs saw mine make 250bhp which is good :)

next stop is larger and better intercooler :)

I ran Shark stage 2+ with a BCS full turbo back exhaust, one step colder plugs, uprated fuel pump, sfs boost hoses with the std paper airfilter. It made 270bhp without an intake. Id personally stick with the oe filter as performance filters dont filter the air and still let rubbish through.

Thanks for the reply guys, advise taken onboard. I'm looking at pushing it to 350hp which I think is possible but will the engine take it? Will standard injectors, do? Or what would u replace them with.

Why 350?

I would take it a stage at a time

At the min mine at 250 is pretty good holds its own against the big boys :)

I would try a re map and filter and service first then cat back then zorst :)
