Hi, Browsing the net, I came accross these topics

I was thinking of selling my VRS but the loss would be too big so I thought, hey, why not upgrade it with missing options (power boot, park assist....) but first of all I would like the DCC. Putting 3000€ to keep the car is better than loosing +6000 on the sale + getting another car. Having the DCC would rally make the care comfortable. I am getting 4 eagle F1 asymetric 3 tyres on this friday hoping to get rid of the road noise + my sprotmaxx rt are worn out on the front and deformed on the rear at only 16000 km. I can't find any information on the parts used for the retrofit. Can anyone enlight me with a list?

Trust2k is on this forum from time to time, if you PM him he might supply some more details. It may be worth waiting until he is finished because if he cannot do it successfully, it is unlikely anyone else will be able to.

You generally do not get any help from Skoda (or VAG in general) for retrofits, in fact quite the opposite. Getting part numbers can be an issue as online parts catalogues can be a bit general.

My question is why DCC? I have not heard much feedback on Octy 3s with DCC yet but wider feedback on others suggests that only 'normal' is usable. 'sport' is very hard for road use, and 'comfort' is too soft. If that is the case you may be better with conventional suspension tuning (eibach/bilstein etc)

I was initially thinking of this for later as I cannot replace the car with a DCC one, but at the moment I cannot really fault the setup it has (standard height multilink)

Hi,

Great, I didn't know he was on the forum, I'll send him a pm but he musthave finished by know, it has benn over 6 months.

I also son't have much feedback but my neigbour has a glfs with DCC and he says it is great.

Hard sport is not a problem as I intend to use it only to have "fun" that is if it keps the car to the ground.

For hightway driving and country side comfort would be ok I guess. The thing is that the stock is to harsch and going for bilstein and eibach, I don't know what would be the right combination for comfort and performance.

95% of the time my son and girlfriend are in the car so I drive cool but the rest of the time, I enjoy giving it a hard time.

I thought you meant Dynamic Cruise Control...

Kw do an aftermarket DCC. But it's not cheap.

Would I want it. YES its the one option I wish it came with. Bit I cannot justify the £2500+ cost for the system plus fitting.

Yes I saw the one frome KW, quite expensive, on this link

the guy gives these prices

"First you need to find the DCC shock absordber +/- 300 to 600€ on ebay. Then you need DCC sensors (3 + 3) : ~150€ DCC Control Unit : ~60€ Electric wiring : ~100€"

Anyway, I would put the 2500 € for this if I am sur to get satisfaction. As I said, sell the car and loose money then buy another one and add maybe 2000€, I rather get the DCC fitted.

cheezemonkhai : this is a feature I don't think is necessary
