Just had a friend do my service but he couldnt reset the service interval reminder because he doesnt have vagcom, is there anyway to reset it without taking to to my overpriced dealer?

I think i know what the answer's going to be but it's worth asking!

You can reset it without VAG-COM - have a search on here, it should be well documented

Basically involves twiddling the odometer reset button I think....

Just remember resetting the service indicator this way wont reset variable cars ( i know the Fabia isnt) and i've had a few that after the dash insert starts playing up. Thats why we have been told to allways do it with diag equipment.

hold the trip reset button in , then turn the ignition on and hold for 10 seconds , it does tell you in the handbook how to do this , very odd
