    Likely that BMW knew they just needed to design a driving machine as they were unlikely to be Taxis or Hire cars and there was no need  to impress paying passengers.

    I've been offered one at £349 PM with a £349 deposit.   If I didn't have a baby due in the next 8 weeks i'd be all over it.

    i know it has a 3.0 multi turbo inline 6 but the fact that BMW call it a 140i still seems wrong to me(i'm old enough to remember when BMW put a 4.0 V8 in the 5er and thinking that's badass) guess its

So the reviewer's conclusion is interesting.

He thinks the M135i is better than the recently launched MB A35 AMG, but he would have to drive the BMW back to back with the Golf R MK / MK7.5 as they would be extremely close.I Look forward to his conclusive review as he suggested.

 

My conclusion from his comments , is that it just proves how good a car, launched in 2014 ,yes 5 years ago , the Golf R is. Can more that hold it's own with whatever, MB , BMW and others can throw at it. .

Especially that in their development they would have been using the Golf R as their benchmark to beat. ( even Ford came and went ,in the process.)

Says it all well, done VW / VAG.

Oh! we still have the R MK8 to come 2020.Maybe even a R 400 at last who knows or perhaps 350 bhp will do.

    Replacement at last,more suited to British weather and roads for a daily.

     

     

    Shame that BMW UK never got this package as an option.
