That was a close call, could have been a lot worse.

My Porsche is fast and expensive therefore able to overtake in space where cheaper cars cannot.

Have noticed this physics defying optional extra on many large SUVs.

Yes, I've noticed that, that's why I'm going to buy a Kodiak, wrap it lime green and drive like a loon, just like other large SUV drivers

(not really, the wife will have the Kodiak)

Chuffin' heck, bet that was scary for the Octy driver!

Careless, stupid and dangerous

Gaz

Unbelievable...almost, and she was wearing SLIPPERS!

I'd have ragged them off her feet and whacked her arse with them.

apparently the other driver caught her up and spoke to her. She was shaking and close to tears and said 'I always overtake there'.

Like that makes it alright then does it?!

Would like to say it's the Darwin effect at work, but if she did wipe herself out, she would also take out a few innocent drivers. Take her licence away I say and never give it back.

Oh the good old tears trick. That crap don't wash with me, I get it nearly every day at work.

Seen a few like that recently, especially in the lanes up by Peterborough

Driving that tank she'd probably barely notice hitting anyone and if she did she'd probably threaten to sue the other driving for scratching her paint.

Pretty unbelievable the way she just drives off to start with like nothing had happened. Agreed - tears were sorrow at getting caught.

Dangerous driving.

She deserves a ban for that. It could have been a lot worse, remember the complete weapon driving that white Discovery that crashed into another car paralising two little girls?

People seem to forget that Cars can be leathal weapons, driving like that cannot go un-noticed by the autororities.

Hope the Octy driver had brown seat covers.

Just amazed that both of the innocent drivers turned down the offer of the video footage! Sounds like the Porsche driver will get off lightly considering the other 2 drivers that she might have hurt if things had been a little different seem happy to let it slide.

Hope the Octy driver had brown seat covers.

If he didn't, he might do now! Wonder if he'll be claiming for new undergarments off the Porsche driver?

If the drivers of both the Citroen and Octy hadn't virtually driven into the hedges and undergrowth, that would have been a very very nasty head on.

Top marks to both of them

The rozzers have a duty to get that clown prosecuted and hopefully banned regardless, I mean, just how much evidence does one need to witness a crystal clear case of dangerous driving endangering the life of others?

No doubt there'll be some wishy washy reason why they can't.

I was also wondering if the police would investigate on the basis of public interest, or if the dashcammer, Citroen or Skoda driver would need to report it.

I think if a driver reported it to their local police station with dash cam evidence, the police would at least have a stern talking to the lady.

As for the tears, yeah pull the other one love. Tears, because you didn't get away with it.

She probably was genuinely shocked that everyone just didn't get out her way, or that someone had the temerity to drive on the same side of the road as her.

She was overtaking so surely other drivers should look out for her and slow down to let her passed.

Plenty of little Princesses go through life expecting the world to bend around them.

lucky a motorcyclist wasn't going the other way. Nearly had head on's a number of times with SUV's overtaking in the past

That was in my neck of the woods. I doubt Humberside Police will be interested.

That was in my neck of the woods. I doubt Humberside Police will be interested.

As I suspected, I saw today that Humberside are taking no action. Scandalous.

The statement that the police can take no action unless there was a complaint from someone directly involved is palpable nonsense. If the camera car had been a traffic car (a rare beast indeed in Humberside) you're telling me they wouldn't have prosecuted? Either the police are making BS excuses to cover the fact they are under resourced, or they are lazy/incompetent.

Blimey!

I thought the Police could still prosecute even if there was no complaint made. I'd have thought it would definitely be in the public interest! If I was the Citroen or Skoda driver and was aware of the dashcam evidence then I'd definitely be pushing the police to investigate/prosecute.
