My first car, Skoda Estelle

Featured Replies

Not sure which forum i should put this photo in but i'm on here as i now own a Fabia MK2 VRS, but my very first car was a Skoda Estelle which i bought in 1990, it was white so as i was a boy racer at the time i coloured coded the bumpers and rear spoiler in white and sprayed the wheels gold plus the air vent cover on the bonnet. I only have this photo which was taken during the painting process

Right forum for this shot for sure: You can post relevant materials in any forum, so if you get an undisguised spy shot of a Skodia Kodak ;) or whatever it's called...

Brilliant little cars. My mate at school had a 105S as a first car. It was very slow but was a lot of fun in the handling dept.

I think this was a 120? Did they have different sized engines?

Yes, a 105 with 1050cc, a 120 with 1200, and a 130 (sometimes 135 or 136) with 1300.

This was mine, a 1987 120L in Rowan Red. I love my vRS, but I'd have this back as a second car in a heartbeat!

I did buy a second one, on an '89 G plate, trying to recreate the magic of the original (which i think was about a w reg) but it was never the same, will have to search for more photos. If it helps to age the original one in the photo, it had the twin round headlights and narrow rear lights

That'll make it a 1980 - 1982 120 LS. I had an orange 1983 120LSE.

Must have been 1980, a w reg, think i was wrong about the headlight, just had single round lights, not double
