Window Tint Advice

Featured Replies

Looking at getting my windows tinted in the coming days.

I have a white FL Octy VRS and would like something to contrast the colour - Not keen on black alloys.

I don't know what grade tint to go with. I want as dark as possible but still want to see out the back at night.

Can anybody recommend a grade to go with from experience?

I've no idea what grade mine is as it was done before I bought it.

But mine is a fl white vrs but only rear doors and boot were done and it looks great

I went as light as possible 35% iirc.

Pics in my project thread of before and after. With the dark headliner and leather it is the perfect choice. Can't stand the bin liner look!

Hi  hope this helps the  blackest black is called LIMO Tint you can still see throu it but they cant see in i have this on my back windows of my est

one thing to rember i been there done that DONT tint your  front windows as Police will come and tear them off as the only tint on drivers front windows is less than 32% and when you lookat it its not worth the trouble you could end up with just tint the back will still look good

hope that helps  Anthoney

well, my car is black so this may not help but it is also ex undercover police so if you can find out what tint they use i think you will be happy, the tint looks really good on the outside and you can see very well from the inside

I think the amount the sunset glass level that Skoda fitted at the factory is a really good amount. Just enough for both in and out.

I have 20% VLT on my car and it's too dark on rainy nights when reversing.  I'm mid-50s and know my night vision has deteriorated in the past 5 years.

In the past, I've had 30%VLT and would get that again in future.

The best idea is to talk to your tinter for ideas as it's possible to have something that looks dark from the outside but has good vision from inside.

Now to me that looks like a van (or a hearse!). But each to their own.
