On the newer style of MFSW just make sure it's the correct part number for the buttons and they should work. For a DSG with shift paddles case you want: 5E0 919 719 G

For manual cars or MFSW without shift paddles, try 5E0 919 719 F

Yup - I bought a wheel/buttons combo for a Fabia III and then replaced the buttons to get them working in my MK2 Octavia

I fitted an Octavia vRS (F/L) flappy paddle wheel to my 60 plate Superb, the airbag fitted perfectly, all I did then was replace the vRS bade with a superskoda ‘Superb’ one. (this may have been discontinued now as it is no longer on their site)

 

(as my car was manual I removed the flappy paddles and blanked them off)
