Undercarriage advice

Featured Replies

Hey up everyone, so I had a bit of a mishap doing a 3 pointer on a country lane today and cracked the nobbly cover on the left side, taking out a little hole as well.

Does anyone know if this requires a critical repair, if I've completely knackered it, or if I can leave it?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

What part of the car is this?

That will be just fine.

King, it's on the underside of the car, effectively underneath the passenger footwell. The crack is about 3 inches in length and the hole itself is just under half the size of a little finger fingernail (maybe about half an inch).

Sorry, I don't have a tape measure or anything to properly measure with at hand.

On the under tray? If it's just on the under tray I wouldn't worry.

I think so, King! I've just done a google search and it appears to be the underbody undertray on the passenger side, I just wasn't sure if it was something that couldn't withstand a crack/hole.

I appreciate your advice though! Thank you

Each under tray is about £50, mine were both damaged due to a large puddle on the M90. I would take it off and check the bodywork behind just to make sure you haven't damaged anything.
