which Induction kit

Hi people i hope you're all well and good

Im wanting to by an induction kit for my OCty VRs Mk1. Its going in next week for a Revo stage 1.

So in a nutshell which is the best induction kit to go for.

im wanting one to fully replace my standard plastic airbox

your help would be much appreciated.

Theres no benefit of fitting one really, in fact with a badly placed induction kit you can make performance worse.

I beg to differ as getting more airflow through your system when your requirements need it are essential.

so on the flip side of what you say then remaps are not a good thing as when the engine needs more airflow then what Your saying is it cant as induction kits dont work corectly

I cant quite figure out what you mean but remaps are a good thing, yes.  I have one with a standard airbox and works great!

Nothing wrong with the standard airbox. I always ran my Revo'd 1.8T's with a good quality panel filter fitted.

If you really want to fit a cone filter, have a look at the Honda S2000 air filter mod, very cheap and you should be able to get the filter element from euro car parts or GSF. A decent cold air feed is a must of course, I feel that most cone filters are only really useful if you go for high flow setups though, such as 2.5" boost pipework and hybrid turbo. As mentioned in replies already, the standard air box is fine certainly for stage 1.
