Has anyone had past experience of using TDI Tuning, based in Chelmsford, Essex?

All being well, I have a new 150 arriving this week and once run in I was thinking about a little titivating. Their website and reviews seem quite encouraging and I met one guy on holiday who has had a good experience with them with a 140.

No doubt there would be the usual insurance and warranty implications.

Had a TDI Tuning box on a seat Ibiza FR CR140 for about 18 months and on a 208 GTI for a year.

No probs whatsoever over that timeframe. I did find that the top setting was s bit rich on both cars so stuck with setting 5 (out of 7) after a bit of experimentation. Very noticeable performance gains. My insurance only went up about £40 a year.

I use DTUK's product on my 150 Octavia L&K and it's fantastic.

The customer service is top notch and the product looks and feels of far higher quality than TDI Tuning's (just my opinion).

If you have a look on the Octavia 3 pages there are loads of people who swear by DTUK.

I will do just that.

I ran a DTUK box on the 170CR Yeti, but removed it and paid slightly more and had it remapped by Shark Performance, not a great between them in performance but the fuel economy is miles apart, the DTUK box drank the fuel and the Shark map is actually uses slightly less.

I went with DTUK as they were offering a ‘money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose’... which is at best very misleading (even after speaking to them on the phone several times) as they NEVER mention they will charge you a £50 ‘restocking fee’ if you return it for whatever reason, lesson learnt... stick with what you know works and offers superb customer service.
