Uprated Exhaust Rubbers

Featured Replies

Has anyone else who running an aftermarket exhaust noticed it moved a fair bit?

Do you use Powerflex (or other poly companies) bushes to stop it moving?

Thanks

When it went on were new OEM ones fitted as this is sometimes quite a good move.

Or is it just on the old ones?

That's a good point!

I'll try some new ones first. Didn't even think of that!

Would be worth knowing if it stops it, my milltek makes a slight knocking noise when going over speed bumps.

Maybe something snapped during installation or before it?  Don't recall any movement at all with mine. Re-used the old bushes which looked at an ok condition at the time.

Just to add.

All rubbers are there and it's lowered on H&R springs.

Everything is clear and doesn't catch.

I'll get some new ones sorted tomorrow and see if that sorts it out.

I'm still on original rubbers with Custom Powerflow & H&R Springs no issues at all

Sounds like one of mine has gone a tad weak then

  • 1 month later...

I had a couple of new OEM rubbers break on my Fiat after I fitted a CSC exhaust. Changed them for Powerflex and no problems after that.
