Has anyone else ordered the LED door courtesy replacement lights from SuperSkoda?  I ordered them but it appears as thought there has been a change to them at some point?  The ones in the car from the factory have a festoon lamp inside under a lens, but the Super Skoda units appear to be a sealed unit with a plug base on the end - which is how the boot lights work.  I swapped over the boot lights no problem but the door units have me flummoxed.

 

My only guess is that there has been a manufacturing change somewhere between the SuperSkoda units being designed and my car's production - its an MY17.

 

Anyone else have experience here?

Hmm, interesting.... Maybe the whole unit does clip out and I only unclipped the lens or something.  This requires further investigation...

Yes if you saw the bulb then you had only removed the lens, you need to remove the whole lot.

I have only front courtesy light (version Style) and I would like to add/connect the rear door ones.

I have few questions:

 

1. How to remove rear door panel?

2. Where to connect the pins?

3. Do I need to activate something via VCDS? If yes, what exactly?
