Hello all you fellow Skoda owners.

I own a Skoda Octavia Elegance 1.9L 55 plate and need some advice on one or two problems

I didn't list the problems because I thought I would be directed to an Octavia section, so here goes.

 

When I am on the motorway and picking up speed, the acceleration flattens out and I have found that the only way to clear it is to turn off the ignition, which clears the computer, and then it is OK!

I have had it into a tuning garage and they said they couldn't cure it, but they did clear a sticking "gate" in the turbo!

 

Another annoyance is that there is a whistling sound, the pitch going up and down when I accelerate, almost like a police car following me.

 

Any ideas please?
