Passenger Door not locking

Featured Replies

HI please could someone help. Only had the car a month, I love it, but just noticed that when I use the remote to central lock the doors, it is not locking the passenger door. I am now not sure if it has always been this way. I cant see a lock to manually lock the door so presume it is by remote only. any advice would be great thanks, Andrew

Andrew, I'd contact your dealer straight away on this one. You need to secure your car and they will be able to fix it under warranty straight away, or they should give you a loan car until any parts that may be needed arrive. I wouldn't mess with it as there are too many implications regarding insurance etc. You don't want to get the car burgled and find you don't have insurance cover due to not getting the vehicle into the dealer for repair.

I agree,main dealer asap.

If all the cars on this platform are the same, there will be the provision to lock that door manually, if you look on the rear edge of the doors, each one without an extrenal key lock point will have a soft rubber bung about at half height with an indent slot on it, remove this bung and you will see a shallow slot to fit the key into and rotate it about 15>30 degrees to lock - then close the door.  This is how you secure the car if the battery is removed.
