ABS wiring loom

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Has anyone got a circuit diagram for the ABS/Anti-skid loom?

And also an exploded view of where the loom runs  roughly (and where the ABS unit sits)?

Many thanks.

Alec.

What car is it and do you have ASR or ESP?

Sorry should have said!

2007 1.9tdi 4x4 octavia 2.

I believe the ABS pump is on the bulkhead down behind the battery tray in the engine bay. There isn't an ABS wiring loom as such, the ABS wiring will be contained in the normal car loom.

I think the general pin out for the MK60 ABS pump is:

pin 1 - power

pin 3 - brake switch

pin 11 - ESP sensor unit

pin 15 - CAN-low

pin 16 - ground

pin 17 - power

pin 26 - ESP sensor unit

pin 27 - ESP sensor unit

pin 29 - power

pin 30 - CAN-high

pin 32 - power

pin 33 - G45 -

pin 34 - G45 +

pin 36 - G46 +

pin 37 - G46 -

pin 38 - ASR/ESP switch

pin 39 - ESP sensor unit

pin 42 - G44 -

pin 43 - G44 +

pin 45 - G47 +

pin 46 - G47 -

pin 47 - ground

There is also a link wire between pin 6 and 14 or pin 6 and 12 depending on which brakes are installed.

G44 - Rear right speed sensor
G45 - Front right speed sensor
G46 - Rear left speed sensor
G47 - Front left speed sensor

I assume you have a fault with the ABS unit? Any error codes logged?

You can get all the wiring diagrams and workshop manual access from Skoda on this site https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/ too

Thats great, thanks Langers2k,

Yes got  an ABS and Anti skid caption on intermittently initially then stays on permanently. The garage did the error checking and changed the rear right ABS sensor but the fault still remained.

It has occasionally at slow speed operated the anti skid for a few seconds.

I have a bit of a rumble/grinding sound also from the engine compartment, sounds as though its coming from the left hand side (passenger). But its not a typical wheel bearing noise, it usually comes on when i'm cornering left but I've just changed the front right wheel bearing and both front drive shafts too so i'm discounting the front right wheel bearing.

Is there a bearing on the inboard side of the front drive shafts? Totally unrelated to the ABS i know!!

Cheers.
