Thinking about doing a remap of my 2.0 TDI 4x4 Superb 2014 Estate and the first thing that came to mind was that on my VW Golf GTI MK6 I changed the spark plugs to colder ones and installed a K&N panel filter, do I need to do anything like this on the Superb aswell?

Make sure it's properly serviced and there aren't any problems lurking. If the clutch is nearing the end of its days, consider having that replaced before remapping. K&N filters do more harm than good because they're too coarse to stop fine particles from entering the engine. The stock air filter is more than adequate in terms of flow capacity.

The DSG and engine was serviced a couple of miles ago so I'm guessing it's ok then
