Was wondering as I seem to be the only person (afaik) who has totally blanked off their EGR, whether doing the trick of the EGR tweak (as detailed elsewhere on here, and logged in my favourites on I.E ) might clear my CEL? (check engine light - for those not sure what CEL is)

Its obviously got a problem with it being blanked off. If it is told to expect less by Vag com, I wonder if it getting diddly squat might clear the CEL, and not bring it back again?

Would be nice to get rid of at least 1 of my 4 permanant lights.

Have you thought about speaking to a remapper regarding mapping the faults out? For instance the post cat lamda sensor can be mapped out on 1.8T's to allow for a decat.

Shall give it a shot though. At the moment I'm so used to the C.E.L being on, its not bothering me.
