Help, this plastic bit dropped down from engine

Featured Replies

A plastic cover looking bit dropped to the floor (attached), while I was doing the gear cable adjustment. I can't figure out where it fits, but car starts ok.

Would really like to try and replace it, so any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

No part numbers on it?

My guess is it a clip used to secure the end of one of the gear cables.

On the second picture, on the right hand side, you can see the oval shape so i'd think so yeah.

I should have thought about that, thanks.

Part number is RAY3 >PA66< 6Y0971901.

I have searched online but no joy.

6Y0971901 is the part number, it shows up as cap.

that looks like it fits over a large cable and terminal, (alternator?)

Goes over the starter motor positive connection.
