Anyone aware of where to get a replacement silver cap on the top of the gear knob? It's peeling off, to the point is causing small cuts in my hand. Is it easy to replace or is it a job for a professional?

Easy to replace, just pops out. Easier of you have trim tools, could cause damage with a screwdriver!

I had to replace my original under warranty, then later the same problem.

Superskoda (above) solved the problem, still fine 3 years down the road.

mine has done this too, looks like a copper colour now. Have been meaning to replace it, you can find them on ebay or on superskoda with vrs on it

I saw that but 13Euro + shipping for a copy or £17.99 for a genuine one which would be with him next day to prevent further cuts on his hand.  There is also the genuine non VRS one for £8.90.  Just putting it out there, thats all.  I'm sure the OP can make his choice.

No point going for OEM, they fail (I've had 2)!
