Hi All

I am considering purchasing VCDS. Is this the correct thing?

What is the script with the licencing? Is it only licenced for use on 1 vehicle?

I also need to get a laptop but have an old PC I could use. Can I just use a standard USB extension cable to reach the pc?

Cheers

Yes.

The cable is the license basically. A Hex can cable works on an unlimited number of vehicles.

You should be OK with USB extension less than 5M. But it is a good idea to keep the doors shut when using vcds.

Thanks. Where is the best place to purchase? Is that a good price in the link above?

Rose Tecch has a distributor list on their website. There's Gendan or Marshall and at least one more. Proper ones will all be about the same price.

No, but they are a listed distributor of Ross-Tech. I think they will be fine. And the price varies very little.
