Thrust bearing - clutch?

Featured Replies

I've only noticed it on start up first thing in the morning, a rattling sound - as soon as I put the clutch to the floor it stops..Is it more than likely thrust bearing??

What signs shall I keep an eye out for regarding the clutch going?? This is my main concern as I dont want it to just give up on me...

Also regarding prices for a new clutch, what seems reasonable??

Thanks

More likely to be dual mass flywheel on its way out which means new flywheel and clutch kit. It probably won't just give up on you, it may last the life of the car as it is but there has been instances of the flywheel coming apart and smashing the bell housing the pieces.

If your paying for somebody to take off the gearbox to investigate its worth changing everything anyway.
