Octavia boot release not working

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! I need your help please. I have a 2007 skoda Octavia 1.4 and yesterday I noticed the boot release mechanism wouldn't open. When I push the button to open the boot there is no noise and the key fob also doesn't open it....could it be the fuse and if so where do I find it?

Any info would be great guys as I'm useless with electrics!! Cheers peeps????????

Would the handbook not give you a hint ? , If no handbook then there should be a card in the fuse box giving the location of the different fuse positions.  In case you don't know the fuse box is accessed from the drivers side at the end of the dash. The drivers door has to be opened to unclip the cover, I usually put the key in the slot and a small twist and the cover pops open.

I don't know if there is a separate fuse for the bootlid
