Traction control limits smooth acceleration!

Featured Replies

I have a 220ps vrs, and accelerating between 1000rpm to 2500rpm in 1stvor 2nd is a bit rough at times, turning traction control off resolves this niggle resulting in nice smooth acceleration!.. so it appears traction control is restricting the low rpm, high torque band acceleration, I guess to limit wheel spin I presume!

I'd suggest you either "feed" the power in 1st and 2nd with the traction control on or turn the traction control off drive as you wish and buy front tyres more often !!!!

The choice is yours, you can always wind the driver's window for roundabouts and listen to your tyres should you doubt me

I understand the need for traction control, but even with normal acceleration, the throttle response can dip at lower rpm, which feels unrefined, and messy

Yeah I posted a while back that the traction control seems a little rough, erratic and "snatchy" - it is fine for "normal" driving, but if you want a spirited take-off (in the dry!) and are happy to feather the throttle a little, you will get a much more pleasing result with it off.

As per themanwithnoaim though, you will be leaving plenty of rubber behind you...

Yeah that's what I'm finding, it feels like it's trying too hard even in dry conditions, oh well.. :-)
