6Q0412301A bump stops for front for vRS, want new ones really

 

Neither ECP nor GSF can supply fronts, any other idea ???

 

Does anyone have any used they want to sell me and not too far from me. Mine are trimmed down have one of the bumps trimmed off.

 

Its probably better than nothing but I'm thinking it could really do with new oem ones.

TPS/dealership near you? TPS more likely to have stock on the shelf.

Thanks good idea I actually already tried that ! None in stock Northampton their nearest is 1.5 hrs unfortunately. Maybe use it as excuse for a motorbike trip maybe.

Could try Allparts Automotive in Abingdon (01235 550555) and see if they can cross-reference the OE part number to something they have on the shelf? Might be a branch more local to you, not sure (Aylesbury looks closest now I search)?  They almost always have what I need at the last minute.

Cheers will give it a go. To be honest even the later models would do, just a case of trimming down to size perhaps so long as they fit into the plastic mount that contains the bump stop ?

or maybe being ultra pikey just buy one donor a bump section to the existing bumps stops - superglue to the end of it to extend the missing lol

Don't worry got it on order now for Monday with a parts direct place in town, no one can help and didn't fancy 100 miles around to Oxford to pick up some rubber bumps.

 

Would really have liked to have been doing over the weekend but at least I have my other car and I'm working from home Monday and Friday anyway !

 

Dare not do both sides so probably won't get together to use in the week yet after making the changes but never mind !
