H&R v Whiteline RARB

So folks, any pros and cons of each?

I have H&R springs fitted but I've had a Whiteline RARB before and it was spot on.

What's your recommendations?

Whiteline all day long with the H&R Your just paying extra for the name.

H&R for me but I would say that as that's what I have and it's brilliant, 25mm and only £170 for amazing handling compared to standard, Bargain!!

I've got the Whiteline on mine, mainly because it's cheaper than the H&R here (Australian company). It's adjustable, but it does creak a bit when flexing, especially since the Bilstein shocks went in. Not sure if I should go firmer or looser, as it's currently in the middle setting.

 

I believe the H&R is not adjustable, but comes with a thicker bar as standard. Then again, the independent VW mechanic who serviced my car last didn't like the Whiteline design because of the way it loops - I suppose it's intended for the older platform Polo originally.

 

There you go: I've probably talked you into the H&R!

 

To be honest, they will both do a similar job, and make an amazing difference in these cars. Choose the one that best fits your budget.

I seen this video of the whiteline one and it looks like it's just in a plastic bag

The H&R comes in a huge box, i remember when I picked it up from Awesome even Lisa who was helping me out said what on earth have you ordered and I was thinking the same!

H&r was awesome on the vrs.

People with the H+R will recommend that and those who've bought the whiteline will say that's best lol. I doubt there will be anyone who has tried both to give an objective comparison.

Go with whichever you fancy. Personally I prefer the design of the H+R and the fact it is significantly thicker. I don't think there is a bad choice here tho :-)

I've had both ???? Alas not fitted to a fabia, h&r was fitter to a 6l Ibiza 1.2 and whiteline is fitted to my 5j fabia tdi, Ibiza had fr suspension fitted and my fabia has vrs suspension all round and mk1 Octavia vrs brakes both cars handled very similar very little body roll and stiffer suspension personnel choice to be honest either way good

When i asked AwesomeGTI which one is best, they recommended H&R as the finish is much better and will last longer. The Whiteline apparently has a lower quality finish.

H&R is powder coated/painted where as the whiteline isn't which is probably what they mean.

It can give it some extra protection the problem is you need to ratchet strap the bugger into place, we put some electrical tape to protect it from scratching.

The next issue we came across was putting the clips over the axle to hold it up we just could not get them to fit around. My mate from the M3 welded drift diff crowd who was helping me wanted to cable tie it in place and was very quickly told to FO so we took it back off and think I'll leave it till summer now.

It can give it some extra protection the problem is you need to ratchet strap the bugger into place, we put some electrical tape to protect it from scratching.

I've heard they're abit of a bugger to get in. I was going to get Awesome to fit it for me tbh. I'd still like one but the difference in insurance just because its a mod, meant AXA (who im with at the moment, even though im only 24 haha) told me they'd have to cancel my policy if i fitted it and the other quotes were several hundred higher, so i decided its just not worth it for me, personally.

I had exactly the same issue on mine. Absolutely no way would the clips fit as supplied. We bought some slightly longer bolts for them and problem solved :-)

Don't think longer bolts would have helped! Even tried to shape it round the axle with a hammer and no joy.

Yeah it's a nightmare. We shaped mine and found the bolt wasn't quite long enough to stretch across between the two holes. Longer bolt did the trick and pulled it together ok.

Hi Question,

 

I have rear sports suspension as Skoda Option as standard, front is just OEM (not sure what this means fittings wise?)

 

The rear of the car feels good and stiff but the front is not so good, 'dippy' + bad handling around tight bends and A Road roundabouts (you all know what i am talking about....)

 

I am looking at fitting front anti roll bar, or is it better to fit a front and rear at the same time.

When I ordered mine, the box arrived and there was 2 inside! So I literally got one free! As you can imagine I fitted one and sold the other!

I've been following this topic after feeling that the Fabia has too much body roll, it's persuaded me to get one. Just had a look and the Whiteline RARB is 30% off at the moment, £135 seems like a bargain! 

I have a whiteline on my monte

Cannot complain it really makes the car feel how it should have felt when new.
