Electronics problem

Featured Replies

Hi. Thanks for looking. So the dash has been on and off over the last 6 months (damp dependent) but now the dipped headlights look like they're on minimal power so I actually have to do something about it. So... Do I do a complete dashboard change ?? Have you done one?? I am actually looking forward to it.

Any tips would be great (steering wheel out?)

Thanks, Billy

if your headlights are dim that sounds like a battery or earth problem, not electronics

check the voltage on your battery, and at the headlights, I suspect one or both are low

if both are low you likely have a battery / charging problem

if only the headlight voltage is low you likely have an earthing problem

Thanks.

I was working away on the car when I hd a quick look under the bonnet. I wiggled the Alternator leads then gave the headlight a thump and the full beam came back on again

So it was both loose connections or one or the other. Still think the damp in the dash is a problem
