Yeti City Version

I would expect the dealerships are no more knowledgeable about upcoming models than what they glean from the auto media.

Surely it's 'commercial in confidence' until it suits the manufacturer who don't want a sudden dry up in sales leaving excess deprecated stock in storage.

The only other way would be to close the factory for a couple of months.

Do you think the Dealership Group Chief Executive, and senior staff and financial managers know, because as it is Sales Executives seem to not even be fully aware what they are selling customers now with the models available.

As to new models they go to Dealership Launches, see and drive the cars and still many are clueless as to what they are and when a customer can buy the particular spec they want.

Skoda UK can not even have accurate configurators.

I can't see a salesman enthusiastically volunteering information on forthcoming improvements to a current model, he needs his income to live like the rest of us so can't tell us to "hold on a bit" for a newer model without damaging his income - and probably getting fired! The dealer needs regular sales as well to keep paying it's staff.

Surely that's where motoring magazines and internet blogs and forums come in? Those of us sufficiently interested in keeping up to date with model developments will search out news of forthcoming changes and make our decisions accordingly. Most buyers are not that interested so go with whatever appeals to them at the time.

Additional model on Skoda website - the Yeti Outdoor SE Technology

http://cc-cloud.skoda-auto.com/gbr/gbr/en-gb?carline=66925

Standard equipment listed (over Yeti SE) includes Amundsen, MFSW and varioflex seating.

The inference of this is that Yeti S and Yeti SE models no longer have varioflex seating.

Surely, this can't be right?

Just had a look at latest brochure and the S has Varioflex.

I thought all models had varioflex seating? Also my current SE and my previous one both had MFSW.

It sounds as if SUK have got another work experience student doing their website again. :giggle:
