Which gearbox lubricating fluid to use? (mk3 RS TDI DSG)

Featured Replies

Hello gents

Sorry if someone already answer  this one, but I could not find it. I am running close to 60 000 km, and it is time to change the pil in the gearbox. Can anyone of you please give me the code/part number/designation/whatever for the original OEM recommended oil.

Thank you for your assistence

I'd recommend getting it done at the dealer, its a specialist job. Also if you are in warranty still, get the dealer to do it.

You would have to use the VW/Skoda approved fluid, any VW or Skoda garage would sell this.

I will get it done at the dealer, the problem is, if I buy the lube oil at the dealer, one liter is sold at the popular price of 40 Euro, I need 5,5 liters, so thats 220 Euro just for the liquid, plus filter, plus man hours.

One liter of original fluid in the store is around 10-15 Euro, I plan to buy it myself, and bring it to the dealer, to samve myself 150 Euro... I am just not sure which one I need to buy, as I want to use the exact original one. that Is why I am posting it here.

Yeah the oil is just specific to DSG. So just search for DSG oil and buy the cheapest genuine.

When I last did mine it only cost about £70.
