Columbus sat nav + auto light switch

Featured Replies

I own a skoda Octavia facelift 2010 1.4tsi dsg with maxi dot elegance and I would like to swop my bolero radio for a Columbus sat nav. Is it firstly a straight forward swop and where can I purchase a genuine one from? So I would like to fit a auto light switch, i have a rain sensor so is it a straight forward job?

I have a couple of different spec Columbus units for sale. I wouldn't swap for a Bolero though, but I would suggest keeping the Bolero and refitting it when you come to sell the car, then sell the Columbus separately.

How much and what sort of different spec?

I have a standard Columbus and an SSD drive Columbus at £340 and £390 respectively. The differences after that are minor, both have the same version of mapping and such like.

Is it a straight forward, take bolero out put Columbus in or do I need to order dash trim and have it coded in?

Yes requires new trim and coding .

I did the same upgrade when I bought my car

Hi, do you have any of these still for sale?

Hi, do you have any of these still for sale?

If you're asking me, then Yes I do.

Salut. As for the auto switch. Pull out the old one and count the wires that go into the plug. If they are 10 (all of them), then it's a straight forward job to replace it. If there are less, then you need to draw an extra wire. There's a post somewhere here about how to do it.

I had the same issue here. I have a light sensor but not an auto switch so I checked and had all 10 wires in the plug so I bought another switch and it's working as it should.
