Featured Replies

Hello

I have an Octavia 5 model 2004.

4 months now when unlock or open any door the cabin lights doesn't lighting on ... but they work fine when i open that directly from the buttons.

I already did some search about my problem here and this is what i already check ...

1. i do not have water under carpet neither driver or co driver site ...

2. when i left my door open with the light open and my keys away from the locker the alarm sound work fine ...

3. when i unlock the car the light on driver site button that block electric window buttons in the back dose light on and light off again when i lockup my car (if this help somehow)

4. up to 5 years know the electric mirrors have some issue, when i am trying to fix the right one both mirrors move in same direction. So i fix the first and after that i fix left one) (also if this help somehow or someone can tell me how to fix this problem to)

i am looking forward for your help ...

thanks in advanced ...

Have the interior lights ever worked and have you checked manually the position of the switch in the interior light assembly.

Yes both ...

Point No 4:  I believe that is normal behaviour for the mirrors.

No its not ... every mirror must move independent... first 5 years works well.

No its not ... every mirror must move independent... first 5 years works well.

From the manual:

Adjusting left and right exterior mirrors simultaneously

› Place the rotary knob into the L position . The movement of the mirror surface is identical to the movement of the rotary knob.

The adjustment of both mirrors simultaneously or each individual mirror is possible in the Information display » page 19 in the menu point Mirror adjust. (Mirror adjust.).

I guess for LHD cars it will happen when you put the switch in the R position.

On non maxidot cars the mirror adjustment is arranged so that one position of the switch allows you to move both mirrors simultaneously. When reversing, this is an aid to parking by letting you drop both mirrors with just one adjustment. It is just annoying when you only want to adjust one mirror, you have to remember which position adjusts both and use that first. This is a VAG feature I have had on a number of cars over the years.
