Back door won't unlock?

Featured Replies

Hi again!

I'm having a problem with the central locking system. It unlocks all the doors except one, the passenger door on the driver side, which is staying firmly locked. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Will the door open from inside? If yes check the wiring to the door for broken conductors. Same as commonly happens to front door I guess.

If it wont open, I have no idea - sorry.

Also I believe opening from outside is now an MOT requirement.

I had the same happen with a rear door on my Roomster. It turned it to be the central locking solenoid on that door, but was a pain to do. It meant stripping the door card off the inside with the door still shut in order to trip the lock, then the solenoid could be replaced. Hope that's of help!

Thanks for the replies.

Bryan - it won't open from the inside or the outside. I had no idea it was part of the MOT either, so I will need to get it fixed before next January, when the MOT is due.

Whitevanman - looks like it's going to be a trip to the garage if that's the case.... :( £££££
