Normal oil temp

@BobbsterAll quite normal as long as when you are down to UK NSL of 60 mph the indicated temp for the oil is back down about 90*oC. 

Do you have a TDI that did come from the factory with VW508 00 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV? 

There is no tolerances according to the handbook. 

There is the May use as much as 0.5 litres / 1,000 km  (621 miles)  no way is that actually acceptable or within tolerances because VW / Skoda say it is for decades for any engine. 

Engines can need oil. and maybe more when new, and driving dependent, lots of cold starts etc.

But not putting that much oil in within services that you might as well change the filter and not the oil as it is constantly being refreshed.
