Skoda Superb hatch/kombi sportline

Featured Replies

Hi all, i used to own a 2008 vRS Octy with 324bhp. I then went sensible and bought a 2013 2.0 TDI Passat which is making 200bhp at the moment. Time for a change and these Sportlines with 190 bhp are tempting me...

I can still afford a Passat so would i be mad to buy one of these over the Passat? is there much of a quality difference ( there was a huge step up in interior quality over the octy)? I'm interested in the Kombi but could still get the saloon. Would black be a nice colour in a Sportline? I can't get much on photo's of black ones on the net. Anyone any good photo's of black ones?

Any advice would be appreciated...

I've just switched from a 2015 Passat to a 2016 L&K Superb. I think the mechanical underpinnings are identical, as is the switchgear and infotainment etc. I'd say the only difference is probably the internal trim, so seats, door cards, etc. which are not quite the same quality as the Passat, but are still more than acceptable.

Which do you prefer? Glad with the decision?

I prefer the Superb as I wanted to get away from the diesel engine (you can only get diesel-engined Passats in the UK). I'm much happier with the 2.0 TSI engine, and the softer suspension on my Superb. There's really not a great deal of difference otherwise.
