Just brought a 2010 Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Hello

I just brought a Fabia vrs coming from an FN2 type R. Inbetween the Two cars I got a Nissan Xtrail cause "you need to be more sensible". Well sensible wasn't so good when after 11 months ownership it blew up on me with just 67000 miles on the clock.

Bloody Renault engines.

Anyway having owned my type R from new I loved every minute of it and wanted to get a hothatch again, but the better half insisted it has four doors. Enter the VRS.

I pick it up next Saturday and I've never owned an auto before so I hope I'll get along with it. I've already ordered a front splitter and some new car mats, but I wish to lower it 20-30mm to suit my style of driving more. My type R had fast road setup on eibach pro springs and I loved how it felt, even my wife "tolerated" it when we done a driving holiday to Belgium.

Bit on me, I'm a mechanical engineer. Machine parts in all sectors from Aero to medical. I used to work for Lotus/caterham F1. Which Was The best fun you can have at a job and although I could have (and still can) go to the likes of redbull and force India, I don't really fancy living in Oxford area. The family and I like Suffolk.

I also love my classic cars, having recently sold my 65 Ford Anglia 105e

Welcome to the forum.

Have fun.

Ah my first car for putting on the road legally was a nice 65 105e that had been my sisters and tuned by my dad,  i stupidly swapped for a moped before getting a Hillman Imp which was sold, then a Mk2 Cortina to pass my test in.

Any of these i would have again in a heartbeat.
