An change in circumstances reluctantly force sale.

The car is a 2012 Superb Estate Elegance 4x4 in black magic. With the Elegance spec, it's got sat nav (Columbus), full black leather and electric seats, xenons and KESSY. (No DAB)

It has covered 106000 miles and has always been serviced by Skoda dealers either at Leeds, York or Scarborough. Cam belt is due at 140 000 miles.

Bodywork is in overall good condition apart from average-for-mileage stonechips and a couple of minor scratches on the passenger side.

This has been an absolutely brilliant car and I'll be sad to see it go. It's huge on the inside and very well featured. A very comfortable car and gives an indicated MPG around 47-50mpg on long runs, more if you're very conservative.

It does use a bit of coolant, as I've written in another thread. The "leak" is sporadic as there's no fixed pattern. I have recently had a complete coolant change as I'd put in a lot of water over the summer, and I've just bought a £20 bottle of coolant which I carry in the car in case it's needed, but I might not put any at all in for another 2-3 weeks.

The What Car valuation for this car at this mileage for private sale is £8700ish, but in recognition of the fact that a) it's using water a cambelt change is not too far away, and c) it will need another set of front tyres at some point over the winter, I am prepared to take £8300. I think that's a fair discount?

Mrs 2SF is arranging a wash and brush up (probably the car too! :-) tomorrow and I can post pictures if there's any interest.

For some reason, I can't upload ANYTHING to Photobucket tonight. It's completely broken, and I've tried it on Chrome and Edge as well, in case it was a Chrome issue.

 

Any other suggestions for getting pictures onto this thread other than Photobucket gratefully received.
