Mirror Set Up On SE

Featured Replies

I have been going through the infinite menus in my Octavia SE. I've now entered into the mirror menu and have found that synchronous adjustment is possible with the adjustment knob set to the RHS mirror.

But there is no option to automatically lower the mirrors on reversing.

The handbook simply says

Synchronous adjustment - Activate/deactivate synchronous mirror adjustment

Lower while reversing - Activate/deactivate the lowering of the front passenger

mirror

I'm guessing that the SE simply does not have the option. Am I right?

Correct. It's available when memory seats are fitted as well I think. I'm sure people have managed to get it working through VCDS without the memory seats but from what I've read it's not all it's cracked (haha) up to be.

At least I can lower the mirrors with the knob if a large kerb is near. The other day I spent 10 minutes trying to get near a kerb but not hit it I ran out of time and was still 9" away. Can't believe the difference perception in switching from an FL to a Mark111.

My old car did have rim protection tyres to give confidence unlike my Michelin Energys.
