BXE engine failure

Featured Replies

So..... The dreaded BXE strikes again. Coming home from work the conrod decided to exit the engine via the front wall of the block busting a 2" diameter hole in it. Why oh why did I purchase a fec£!^g 1.9 BXE engine. And it was a fine car to drive. 2009 SE superb. 125k mls. Just put a tow hitch on the bloody thing yesterday. VW should be taken up the steps for selling such a dud engine.

I had massive problems with mine, drank more oil than fuel , found the bores scored

. got a new engine from a company in glasgow, found out to my cost they where con men, so shopped around and found a company down south, on 07970478 931, as recomended by shark performance, you dont have to fit a BXE engine replacment, there are others available.

If you can find one the BKC lump is a much better alternative.

BKC sourced with only 87000km on it. To be fitted next week.

I had some dealings with them a few years back with a turbo, they sent me the wrong model for my car and it was seized solid .I sent it back to them stating that and they said "I'd smashed it up " and refused to give me my money back , thankfully I'd paid with my credit card so after a few letters back and fore they refunded my money .

Just google reviews of engine company paisley , can't understand how they are allowed to trade or aren't in prison

I made it my business to review their company everywhere on line I could find

Didn't Direct Engines get investigated by Watchdog a year or 3 ago?

Bought a "low mileage unit" for a Vectra from them as they were like hens teeth back then.

Got engine to garage and on to engine stand removed sump plug and black tar came out which might of been oil when it was first put in the engine about 8 years ago.

They are well known in the trade :envy:

They just send out any old rubbish
