SD Card in Bolero stereo

Featured Replies

Just driven my 2014 plate Skoda Yeti home.  Love the car!

Trying to get tunes playing off the SD card through the Bolero stereo though is proving difficult.  It works fine with a 2GB SD card (which to be fair the manual says is the only type that will play).

But I can see that a lot of other people on the forum have got larger capacity SDHC cards playing, and really 2GB is not enough for what I'd like to have available.

Does anyone know if there are different models of the Bolero stereo, or different firmware levels that may restrict use to SD cards only?

Thank you!

The older Bolero has a 2Gb limit. Later versions have up to 32Gb limit, but you'll struggle to get a software upgrade I doubt. Newer units area much better direction, either through the sales section on here or Ebay

OK - that's helpful.  Thank you.

Do you know when they started upgrading them? I naively assumed that a post facelift 2014 model would have a fairly up to date stereo.

I would also expect it to be the case. It could be that someone stuck an old unit in there, as they changed to 32Gb back in 2008 - 2009 or so I think.
