No service book

Featured Replies

Now that Skoda no longer supply a service book with the cars, they now keep everything on a computer record.

So if I want my independant mechanic to service mine, is there a web site he can access to input the info.

I called my local dealer and was told I had a 3 week wait, that's around  3K miles for me, so called my indi, bring it in tomorrow

Just order a blank service book from the dealer and the dealer can fill that in.

I asked them, no longer supplied ????????????

Oh, really?

Just ask the indy to give you a print of the work done and file it.

Get 1 from the Bay £13 or generic for £3

Job done :$$$:

That's surely all that is necessary. No need to get paranoid about a service book - you just need evidence that the vehicle has been serviced according to manufacturer's requirements.

Job done!

Skoda want you to feel paranoid , they want to keep control , they don't want you saving a fortune at your independant

I'm very happy to save a fortune at my independent where the guys that do the work actually care about your car and what they're doing to it. They know MUCH more about VAG vehicles than the "technicians" at the local Skoda dealer! What's more .... I definitely don't feel paranoid!

^ this.

Invoice / receipt of what you've paid for - what was done - should be enough.
