How are people finding their Sportlines?

I thought Waze wasn't available for use with Android Auto yet?

yes, currently isn't, but ..

What benefits gives Android Auto?
I see only limitations:
1. it is still country dependent and can't be installed without complicated tricks to cheat your location
2. Google Map has huge limitations in options if compared to it's phone version
3. position of built in media display is less safe than independent phone on the dashboard.

Waze gives:
1. best route calculated by online traffic
2. speed cameras warnings
3. accidents/holes/police warnings
4. fuel prices
...
..
.

Hello. I'm thinking about ordering a sport line. Look awesome! Wondering if anyone compared the ride in sportline v SE L for example. Just thinking about the bigger rims and lower suspension and whether that makes much difference. Driven my mate's A6 black edition. With 20" wheels and was really surprised at how smooth it was. I was expecting a right hard run but not so. Any thoughts?

I just picked up my sportsline on Sunday and I can adjust my suspension with the DCC option extra and I think it really makes a difference.

comfor setting good for every day driving then set it to sport when you get on the back roads great fun.

I assume the exhaust system on the sportline is the same as all others, with just a visual difference on the tail pipes?  It is no louder/throatier than any other trim level?

The tailpipes are no different, only the 280 gets visible tailpipes, all the rest are hidden behind the rear diffuser which has the chrome trim.

Oh, did not know that. So the chrome trim in the rear bumper is just a fake looking tailpipe?

I have a 280 on order, so I guess it will have a proper tailpipe... which is the same as every other trim levels. Thanks, trying to establish how noisy a 280 will be.

With the centre section I think it make it look more like a chrome trim than a pair of fake tailpipes, but the styling is obviously done with those in mind

I've not driven a 280 myself but I don't anticipate it being Golf R or Audi S3 loud but a 280 owner will be able to say for sure :)

I was very surprised at how quiet my 280 is.  In normal traffic it's pretty quiet but it'll let out a reassuring growl when you start to push it.  It's by no means a loud sports exhaust sound but fits the car nicely IMHO.

Yes indeed that is pretty much what I want! 280 owners I am right in saying the car actually has 4 tailpipes 2 on each side hidden behind the trapezoid tips right?

Dublin dealership? My build week is tomorrow... hopefully mine makes the same boat as you ;)

Wicklow dealership, i saw ferry schedule for Ireland,  there is one on 24th of march,  arriving 27th to Dublin port - 800 cars. If my car will be on this one i will get my car aprox 5th-7th of april.

Next one leaving Germany port at 4th of april and arriving at 7th of April to Dublin, in this case i will got the car at 19th of aprill more-less. Extra delayed due to easter holidays.

Ah cool, I was trying to find out which boats are used for Ireland but could not find them. Mine will not make the 24th so looks like the 4th hopefully. I am away with for until the 17th... hopefully will be arriving home to collect that week :)

Are you tracking progress somewhere other than emails from the dealer?

No, just info from dealer, he told me as well that in 25th of march he will recive the list of cars that are on ferry departured on 24th of march, so its not a bad idea to ask your dealer in next saturday if he can check what the status of your car :)

So guys my car must have been on an earlier boat as it is ready for collection next friday I am told. I will pick it up the following week however as I am wrapping up the sale of my current car this weekend.

Ahh, you sorted then Rob :)

I have a Black Sportline Estate on order (company lease) - I can't wait to get it but have been told there are none available so its a 12 week factory order.
