Anyone decked out a Yeti for sleeping?

Featured Replies

Has anyone modified a Yeti to sleep in, or added a canopy/tent at the rear?

I've not but have seen this.

Just be aware of flat batteries if the boot lid is up and interior light on for an extended period.

I have seen some and Google Images might bring up threads on them.

Look in the Roomster section in Briskoda and see the very good conversion posted recently, and easily removed and back to a passenger vehicle.

I used to use a Tunnel Tent and reverse into the Porch / Doorway.

Now a have an Vango AirBeam Inflatable tent that i use, nice and easy to erect....

I have seen 2CV conversions but no Yeti conversions as yet(i)

Try a google of

microcamper fat berta 3.0

Then a roof tent is an option..

Some sites will not allow roof tents for "health and safety reasons"

The 2CV conversions have the passenger seat removed and the

rear seat. A bed then ran from front to back on the passenger side.

Behind the driver was a cooking and washing facility.

I think the interior lights switch off automatically after a time (30 mins?).

As regards ideas for sleeping in a Yeti, have a look at this site (its in german but the pictures give an idea):

I've spent many a night tucked up on the passenger seat on motorsport events without discomfort. Well tucked up , head and hands insulated as well and I've managed 6/7/8 hours sleep, once in light snow in Myherin forestry earlier this year.

I just wish I had the option of a further reclining passenger seat, but so far not really a problem - just lucky I can still do it at my age!
