Random battery indications on 3 year old android tablet

Featured Replies

My tablet has started randomly indicating the battery charge either at it's correct level or zero.

I put it on charge from whatever level it's at and it charges at a normal rate - but often on getting to 100% the indicator then swaps to zero.

At this point the tablet is normally unwilling to switch on.  Often an hour or two later it is able to power up.

Is this just a life-expired battery or are there work-arounds? (this tablet cannot be rooted mind)

Could be the battery but it could also be the battery calibration in Android that has thrown a wobbly.

Try downloading one of the battery calibration apps that will delete and reset the current calibration data - it might help

Battery is on the way out.

What model?
