Anyone know roughly how much I should expect to pay to replace the window regulator in a superb estate.

Watching with interest, mine has recently started creaking!

Mine was starting to get quite noisey until the day I took it to the garage when it promptly stopped making the noise.

I have replaced mine, at the time nobody made a copy or offered just the regulator and so I had to buy the whole unit OEM Which was about £170. I guess you can add a couple of hours labour.

I've just paid 230 for the works complete I thought it was a rip off but maybe not at least now I can order a mcdonalds without looking a complete tit!

Both my front windows packed in within a fortnight, just cable snapped on both, priced 2 regulators at £141 each without fitting, got given a mobile fitter who supplied and fitted both cables only for £160.

Had the complete mechanism replaced on my drivers side one month short of my five year warranty. 

It was easily clear why it failed though, water drips down from the window seale as it should but straight onto the wire pulley at the electric motor geared drive (known as the regulator for some strange reason)  this takes away over a period of time any grease on the wire and then corrodes the wire so it is not pliable anymore and it breaks. You could see the trail or rust as the water dripped down then evaporated to leave the rust behind.
