Small lights at bottom of front bumper - is this right?

Featured Replies

Picked up our new Superb on Saturday.

Just saw my other half turn into our road and thought we had a front bulb out.... Main headlights all looked fine, but those smaller, dimmer lights underneath (at the bottom) - one was on and one was off. He was turning right and the right-hand side one was on.

We experimented on the drive. When the engine is on and you're just sat there, both are off. When you pull forward, both stay off. When you indicate and then start to turn, one comes on on the side you're turning towards. When you reverse, both come on.

Are they behaving as they should? And what's the point?!  :D

No idea if something's wrong or not. As I said, when he came round the corner it looked like we had a bulb gone.  :|

Cornering lights, all in the manual and they are working correctly, I’m amazed you have not seen other cars with them on as they are getting quite common now.

The point of them is to light the curbs up etc, useful in dark places.

Thanks! RTFM is a valid response.  :D

Genuinely never noticed them on a car before! Or maybe I've thought a lot of cars have got blown bulbs.  :D
